What are the differences between the MAXVCG command and the SOLVE MAXGCG command?

Answer:

1. MAXVCG ignores tank loads since it must produce curves where the displacement varies. SOLVE MAXVCG respects tank loads since it is concerned only with one condition.

2. MAXVCG assumes TCG=0 since the curves are meant to apply to all loadings over the displacement range. SOLVE MAXVCG uses the existing TCG.

3. MAXVCG /TRIM (which is the default) adjusts LCG as well as VCG in order to keep the specified initial trim. SOLVE MAXVCG only changes the VCG.

4. MAXVCG produces a report but leaves the CG unchanged after it is through. SOLVE MAXVCG does not produce a report but it leaves the VCG at the max.
