Question:
Why does GHS return a value of "LARGE" for a residual area ratio? What would
cause it to do this and is there a way to make it return a number in this
instance?
Answer:
It could simply mean that the limit margin or attained value has too many
digits to fit in the field in which it is to be displayed. You can determine
whether this is the case by trying it with an increased limit value.
In other cases the limit margin evaluations are reported as LARGE in order to
avoid extending the righting arm curve to larger heel angles when it is
apparent that the limit margin is already very high.
