General HydroStatics
Ship Stability Software
Command of the Week
(New or interesting aspects of GHS that you may not know about)

(Requires GHS version 17.00 or later)

(Use the command DB Update to get the latest version of the Data Base software.)

A previous COW brought attention to the Magnificent Interface which was developed for the preparation of GLM (GHS Load Monitor) installations but which is suitable for general use as well. Quoting from that COW,

"Anyone with a current version of GHS, LEw, and CG can make use of this 'magnificent' interface. Simply download the GLMCFG.ZIP package and copy the files to your GHS program folder. Then run GLM_MAKER.WIZ, and have fun!"

The same applies to DB GLM. The only difference is that the DB GLM command takes the place of running GLM_MAKER.WIZ.

As you would expect, DB GLM stores the files in the Data Base. In fact, the GLM subfolder within the folder for the particular Ship you are working on becomes the working folder for the duration of the DB GLM command.

When preparing files for a shipboard installation, GLM_MAKER packs them into a ZIP file. DB GLM does the same thing, and a copy of the ZIP will be found in your original working folder.
