Ship Stability Software
Command of the Week
(New or interesting aspects of GHS that you may not know about)

DB Procedures
(Requires GHS version 17.00 or later)

(Use the command DB Update to get the latest version of the Data Base software.)

The best way to describe Data Base Procedures is by means of an example:

A Procedure consists of a series of calculation steps chosen from a menu of step types.

After picking a step type you enter parameters to finish the step configuration. Here is the setup for the Stability step type:

(The stability criterion codes shown above are from the GHS Advanced-Features Stability command.)

The command DB EditProc brings up the dialog shown above. The command DB ExeProc executes a procedure.

Both of these commands take the procedure name as a parameter.

If you've made too many Procedures to remember all their names, DB Procs brings up a list of all known Procedures for the present ship.

Procedures can be exported to a library accessible when working with any ship. That and many other features of Data Base Procedures will be featured in subsequent COWs.
